I debuted my Aurora at J-popcon '13 and it's got to be one of the least expensive costumes I've ever done - quite a feat with all that fabric. Pattern-wise this was a bit of a stuggle for me, but I really like the end result - especially the skirt with all 12 parts and inserts.

I made the blue version, since she wears that for the most part in the film (even though the dress is only worn for about 10 screen minutes, haha) and I've always felt the strongest connection to that version. Growing up I watched the film to the point of ruining 2 VHS tapes and today I admire the scenic style and the original ballet's music.
