How To Train Your Dragon is such a gorgeous movie and I get drawn into its' world every time. I always liked Astrid, but felt that I wouldn't look good portraying a little teenager. Then along came the HTTYD2 designs and I fell in love - also partly because I adore concepts that include fur. I've never made a costume of a to-be-released feature and I must admit it might be the last time - spending hours after hours trying to decipher more or less cryptic promotional photos was really not my idea of fun. I am very proud of the result though - I believe I got a pretty accurate final costume.

I wore this at J-popcon and competed in the Danish Cosplay Championship and was lucky enough to land a place in the ECG this summer!!

The costume looks beautifull! I'm going to work on the costume soon as well, I saw in your tutorial you used plaster for the skulls and studs. Here in the netherlands we use plaster a lot for hobbying and stuff but it's breakable.. Did you cover it with something special or buy a different kind of plaster?
